====================================== Elluminate Live (E-Live) at NSU ====================================== ************************************************ I. E-Live via WebCT (restricted access model) ************************************************ A. Access: ---------------------------------------------------------- - A valid NSU email ID is required. - Users must have access to the WebCT course that is hosting the E-Live session. - Moderator presence is required for the session to become active. B. To become a moderator in a E-Live session: ---------------------------------------------------------- - The WebCT course must be a valid and active course in Banner. - You must be listed as the instructor for the course in Banner. C. To Set-up E-Live in your course: ---------------------------------------------------------- - Selecting 'Add Page or Tool'. - Under the Page column select 'Single Page'. - On the 'Add Singe Page' page: 1. Fill in the title field with 'Elluminate'. 2. * Select the 'Same Browser' Option. Note: the program will NOT work in a 'New Browser Window'. * Click the 'Browse' button to add in the 'elive.html' page in the 'elive' folder under 'WebCT-Files'. 3. * Select 'On an Organizer Page'. * Select 'Use custom Icon'. * Browse for the 'lightbulb_icon.jpg' icon in the 'elive' folder under 'WebCT-Files'. 4. Recording(s): ---------------------------------------------------------- - A Recording must be initiated by the moderator. It will not automatically start. - All recordings for a particular day are saved into the same file. - Recordings can NOT be edited. - Recordings are proprietary and can not be reused. ************************************************ II. E-Live w/o WebCT (open access model) ************************************************ A. Access: ---------------------------------------------------------- - Any user with a valid NSU email ID may access your session. Note: To restrict access, E-Live must be used in conjunction with WebCT - Moderator presence is required for the session to become active. B. To become a moderator in a E-Live session: ---------------------------------------------------------- - You must be listed as the instructor for at least one course in Banner. C. To Set-up E-Live in your course: ---------------------------------------------------------- - No set-up is needed. To access your E_Live session use the following URL : http://nsu.nova.edu/cgi-bin/elive/start.cgi?open_course=NSU_EMAIL_NAME WHERE: 'NSU_EMAIL_NAME' is your email name (the portion before the '@'): Note: You must be listed as teaching at least one course in Banner for your session to open.
